Creditron Brings QR Code Capability to Integrated Receivables

Wednesday, June 04, 2014

Rockville, MD

Creditron, Inc., a leading provider of payments automation solutions, today announced that the company’s integrated receivables platform capabilities have been expanded to include new QR code recognition technology.

QR Code (for Quick Response Code) was first designed for the auto industry in Japan, and has become popular in other industries due to its fast recognition and higher storage capacity when compared to traditional barcodes. QR codes can store up to 7,000 numeric characters.

In remittance applications, QR codes will open new opportunities to provide detailed information which can be used to identify and accurately post payments, or to guide payers to payment and information portals. This is an example of a QR code:

“Creditron’s leadership has been built by providing innovative and effective solutions, and QR codes are just the next step” said Creditron Founder and CEO Wally Vogel. “We believe the high data capacity and flexibility of these codes will be a disruptive technology for receivables processing.”
