RP$ Base SoftwareRP$ 2000XP for Windows 2000, or XP The Creditron Base Package comes with everything you need to automate and manage the processing of your check payments. User screens make effective use of graphics for ease of operation. The Base Package Standard Features will effectively handle any check/stub payment scenario such as:
Transactions in the first category (single stub/single check full payment) are processed in a fully automatic manner by the processor. The amount due, account, and other information are read from an optical scanline on the stub, and the check is automatically encoded for the matching amount. At the same time the check is endorsed {e.g. stamped "FOR DEPOSIT ONLY To The Credit of the Within Named Payee"), and also receives an audit trail with the account to which it was posted. This feature facilitates instant tracing of a returned check. At the same time the processor is printing a deposit slip for the check received and an update file (priced separately) will be sent to the host for posting to accounts receivable. All other categories are "exception" transactions which require varying amounts of operator review, or intervention, to ensure transactions are properly posted. In addition to the above, it is not unusual to have net and gross (e.g. late penalty) categories. Other cases, which require special attention are bank payments and over-the counter payments. Each of these types of transactions may be processed by the remittance system, although some operator data entry may be required. After processing, data batches are verified (usually by a supervisor), and edited if not in balance. Once verified, batch data is uploaded to the host via a network or emulation card, a deposit summary is generated by the remittance system and checks may be deposited immediately. KEY STANDARD FEATURESBatch Edit w/image-Batch data can be edited using document images for reference. Batches cannot be transferred to host until balancing occurs. Block Ticket Encode-A block ticket can be MICR encoded with the total deposit for the day. Check Audit Trail-An audit trail of stub information can be printed on the back of checks. Check Endorse-Processed checks are endorsed by the remittance processor with custom bank stamp in appropriate ABA defined location. Check Encode-Processed checks are encoded with ABA standard MICR. Declared Totals-Feature allows operator to enter an expected total before running payments. If feature activated, processed total must equal declared total. Double Key Entry-Each keyed amount must be entered twice to ensure key entry accuracy. User selectable. Invoice Sorting-Stubs/invoices with a user defined characteristic can be sorted to a different pocket of the processing unit for special handling. Key Entry from Image- If in key entry mode operators can key stub and check data from the document imaged displayed on PC monitor. Key From Form -Creditron Key From Form (also known as Grid Key Entry) allows a check, without associated stubs, to be applied to multiple accounts. After each check is scanned, a pop-up form containing a key-entry grid is displayed . The operator can then determine the various accounts to apply payment and the payment amounts. MICR Read-A checks MICR information is read by either machine read or software read from image. OCR Read-Stubs with OCR scanline are read by either machine read or software read from image. On-Line Edit w/image-User can edit transaction data during processing. Batches cannot be transferred to host until balancing occurs. Available for RP$2000 only. One Pass or Right Pass Workflow- For the simplest workflow, transactions may imaged, read, endorsed, encoded, sorted and balanced after one-pass on the remittance processor. If required, a Right Pass workflow can be used to complete the simple transactions in one pass and outsort exceptions for Image Data Completion and second pass encoding. Image Data Completion is an optional module. Report Writer-Report fields and field order can be defined by user. Statistics & Reporting-Standard and comprehensive
End of Day and Performance Reports so you can monitor total items and
values processed and to help you monitor key performance indicators. Variable Source Balancing-Up to 5 amount sources per stub can be used to balance with the check(s) in a transaction. |
