Automate Credit Card Payments

Process Credit Card Payments from Stubs

This feature substantially reduces the time required to post payments received in the mail which have been paid by credit card. Many billers are offering their customers additional payment options, including credit card payment, to make payments more convenient.

In cases where the credit card information is written in the form the transaction information can be keyed or automatically captured with optional ICR. The account number is then validated using the credit card checkdigit algorithm and the expiry date is validated as well. If the data is correct, the transaction is added to a batch file which is formatted and submitted for authorization through an existing merchant account through a payment gateway.

When the payment gateway provides a return authorization file the file is read by ItemAge Express and merged with the original transaction in the batch file. Authorized transactions are updated with the authorization number for future reference. Declined transactions are flagged as such, and can be manually or automatically deleted so that declined transactions are not posted.

Read Credit Card Account Numbers: With optional ICR software, the system can even read the handwritten credit card numbers off the form.
