Rockville, MD

Creditron, a leading provider of payments processing and integrated receivables solutions, announced that it has won an RFP from a local township reaffirming and strengthening the existing relationship which spans over 13 years. The town issued an RFP in April 2016 for an imaging and remote deposit solution to accommodate data upload into their existing tax software.

Creditron’s proposed solution won the bid in May 2016 as the town decided to continue leveraging its ItemAge Express (IAX) solution meanwhile adding additional functionality and upgrading their hardware. The proposed solution for will provide cost savings, operational efficiencies, and the flexibility to meet future needs as business requirements change.

IAX continues to be a flagship product of Creditron as it provides organizations with comprehensive and powerful payments and receivables solutions. Creditron is committed to the Canadian market by providing bilingual software as well as bilingual support personnel.

Thanks to an amendment to Canadian Payments Association Rule A10, Canadian businesses no longer have to encode cheques and physically transport them to a financial institution for deposit. Creditron has partnered with prominent Canadian banks to offer their clients Electronic Bank Deposit. The efforts in that market segment have led to significant increases in image cash letter files processed on Creditron’s receivables processing platforms. This has been a game changer and there’s never been a better time for Canadian corporations to reevaluate their current remittance and check deposit processes.

Canadian sales efforts are spearheaded by long-time Creditron employee Laurie Opie. Laurie is an Account Manager and has worked in the payments processing industry for over 8 years. She began her career with Creditron in operations and administration management before moving into sales.  In addition to handling the Canadian market, Laurie is responsible for several existing U.S. customers. She continues to play a key role in working with many Canadian customers across all verticals to implement Creditron’s innovative payments processing solutions.  Her commitment to building new and valued relationships across Canada has resulted in continued success for Creditron.
