-- Creditron President Wally Vogel to Discuss Trends in Remittance Processing Solutions During TAWPI Executive Forum Series --

MISSISSAUGA, Ontario, Canada, June 25, 2007 – During The Association for Work Process Improvement’s (TAWPI) first-ever Executive Forum Series teleconference this week, Creditron President Wally Vogel and a panel of industry luminaries will share market expertise and provide forward-thinking insight on trends in remittance processing solutions.  TAWPI’s Payments Capture & Clearing (PCC) Council is sponsoring the program.

"We are extremely excited about participating in TAWPI’s Executive Forum Series.  This type of forum is vital in educating, empowering and motivating financial institutions and corporate billers alike" Vogel said.  "With more than a decade of payments experience, Creditron has played a key role in the development and enhancement of the market.  We continue to shape the future of the industry by providing the robust framework that customers depend on for reliable and efficient payments automation and receivables management".

Vogel and the other panelists will discuss the impact of Check 21, distributed image capture, electronic check conversion (including Accounts Receivable Conversion and Back Office Conversion), the convergence of paper and electronic payments, page scanning and forms processing, emerging image archive and delivery requirements, and niche applications such as EOB processing.  The teleconference will be held Wednesday, June 27 at 1:30 EDT.

As for the "big story" to look out for in 2008, Vogel predicts it will be the integration of remote capture and automated receivables technologies.  Vendors will shift their focus from automating individual A/R tasks to managing the flow of receivables data: capturing and reading checks and remittance data, matching payments to open invoices, creating electronic deposit files, providing images for archive and research, and interfacing with A/R systems.

“Creditron believes the industry must move to a new type of remittance processing approach that combines payments automation and receivables management to make the operation strategic to the corporate biller’s business, not just a cost center or overhead,” Vogel said.
